Join Teen Miss Great Lakes on June 9 for a free, family friendly screening of the award winning documentary STRAWS.

About STRAWS: STRAWS is an award winning documentary that illuminates the problems related with straws and other single use plastic pollution that inundate our waterways and oceans.

Guest Speakers: Marie Cabiya and Bea Echeverria are co-founders of the Evanston Sustainability Network and have been particularly focused on educating Evanston residents and businesses on how to eliminate use of single-use plastics and Styrofoam. They are also part of District 65's newly established Green Team (District 65 is comprised of Evanston's elementary and middle schools), working to enact long lasting environmentally sustainable change in our schools.
