My Hero International Film Fest:
Sylvia Earle Ocean Conservation Award

  • Who: Students of any age who have submitted a film to the One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest

  • What: Does your film focus on marine heroes, plastic pollution, coral reefs, and community-driven solutions to protect the "blue heart" of the planet. Does it promote themes of courage, compassion, and resilience?

  • Why: Shine a light on people working for positive change. Honor real-life heroes, expose your film to a global audience and win cash prizes

Youth Climate Report:
A United Nations Partner Program

  • Who: Students 18 years and older who have submitted a film to the One Earth Young Filmmakers Contest

  • What: A chance to be included in the Youth Climate Report (YCR) database of student researched films on the environment. This is a program of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

  • Why: Bring attention to important issues in a particular region and help educate Conference of the Parties (COP) delegates who are making policy decisions. Our partnership with YCR helps elevate student voices and gain global attention to important environmental topics."

The YCR is an interactive film database project adopted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Its purpose is to assist delegates with making policy decisions.
